Strolling in Durham forest I noticed the snow covered surroundings and bare hollow trees are two main features of the environment. Inspired by the ambiance I have painted the HOLLOW TREES, explaining that "life goes on in hollow trees "

Life goes on in Hollow trees, as their trunks provide nesting and roosting sites for bats and birds.

The dry dead trees have cavities that formed homes for habitats.

Hollow tree trunks are an essential habitat for a wide range of flora and and faun.

Hollow tree trunks in no time become homes for birds, bats , owls, honey bees, several species of squirrels and black snakes.

"THE HOLLOW TREE TRUNKS" a water color expression.

In hollow trees many species create their homes by excavating new holes and trees become nesting sites for birds, bats, and owls.
