Butterflies are found on every continent except Antarctica, they captivate with their vibrant wings and graceful flight, sometimes traveling great distances in search of warmth and flowers.

Fascinating Facts About Butterflies:

Butterfly wings are transparent and covered with tiny scales that reflect light, creating beautiful colors.

Butterflies use their antennae to smell and have chemoreceptors on their feet to taste.

Their large compound eyes allow

them to see a wide range of colors and ultraviolet light, which humans

cannot see.

Butterflies cannot fly when they are cold; they need to warm

their wings in the sun before

flying.

Newly emerged butterflies must wait

for their wings to dry and harden

before they can fly.
