THE AMAZING ALBATROSSES AND ME

My latest post captures the beauty of ALBATROSSES in watercolors, they are symbolic of freedom, hope and strength.

The Albatross is one of the largest seabird, they are known for their excellent flying skills.

There are twenty-two species of albatross around the world. they spend over 80% of their life at sea, and visit land for breeding. They can walk well on land unlike other birds.

Albatrosses diet is predominantly squid, octopus, fish, crabs and shrimp.

Mostly Albatrosses are migrating birds, although some birds stay behind in colonies throughout the years. Albatrosses were recorded as flying at speed as high as 108 km. They can glide for miles without flapping their wings.
