Balanced and Barefoot by Angela J Hanscom is an interesting and informative book, about how children can be facilitated to their fullest if left in natural environment to explore and enjoy. My pictorial review of the book is based on my grandchildren's play activities.

Unrestricted outdoor play makes Strong, Confident, and Capable children.

Outdoor play and free-play programs are vital for children's cognitive and physical development.

Active play develops strong healthy bones and provide Vitamin D

Play activities develop gross and fine motor skills

Play activities facilitate physical, social, emotional and intellectual development.

Nature stores mental functioning in the same way as food and water restore bodies.

Active free-play develops the strong muscles and bones needed for stability and injury prevention.

Most of the cognitive skills are learnt through real life situation.

Sensory experiences organize brain, senses and body.

Very well done, correlates with nature vs nurtue. 👏
