Peeping in the Bamboo Forest

Dear friends, Bamboo trees to me are unique and fascinating, in my latest post sharing interesting facts and my admiration for elegant and captivating bamboos. I have enhanced the post via my paintings.

Bamboos Woods are cooling to the eyes, refreshing to mind and body. Bamboo trees are strong, resilient and unbreakable and these characteristics are highly valued, as expressed by Ping Fu “Be like the Bamboo, the higher you grow, the deeper you bow and capable of adjusting to any circumstances.”

 Bamboo plants come in variety of sizes and colors, the trees are commonly green color; but they happen to be in a rainbow of colors including the striking hues, black, gold, blue and red.

WORLD BAMBOO DAY is celebrated on 18^th September.

Thomas Edison used Bamboo for the filament in his first light bulbs. An original bulb still exists in Smithsonian National Museum of America History in Washington DC  

The Giant Panda a bear native to China, is known for its black & white fur and Bamboo diet

Panda Bears are fundamentally carnivore they have adapted to a bamboo-based diet. Although 99% of their diet is bamboo, they may occasionally eat small animals, eggs and forage for other plants.
