Dear Friends, in this post I am sharing ideas as how to enjoy life with health and happiness. Facilized my work through the science magazine “POPULAR MECHANICS, Inner workings of your mind”.
The post also highlights the significance of veggies and their contribution in keeping our body healthy and fit. I have also included some delicious recipes of cooking veggies and preserving their nutritive value, please do try them.

Vegetables are a good source of vitamins and minerals . Adding them to our menu daily ensures good health, by refining immune system, brain and heart health. They are high in fibers and low in fat, salt, sugar and calories.


Eating Veggies on regular basis support a sound
mind and healthy body.
Veggies enhance bowl movement and prevent constipation and hemorrhoids.
Sharing with you the delicious recipes of cooking veggies:

Beetroots are linked to lower blood pressure and improve blood flow to the brain and heart by dilating the blood vessles.
Beetroots are enjoyed in salads as raw, steamed or boiled. They may be sliced, garnished or grated and added with other veggies.

Beetroots are commonly cooked with their own leaves, adding spinach or cabbage and tomatoes. Nevertheless I am sharing with you a new combination beetroots with turnips.
Beetroots with Turnip

Ingredients:
Beetroots 2, Turnips 4, tomatoes crushed 1 cup or ¼ cup tomato paste, salt 1tea-spoon, red chili powder, cumin 1tea-spoon, mustard seeds 1tea-spoon, oil 1 to 2 table-spoons.

Method: Boil beetroots and turnips separately in 1cup to 1& 1/2 cups of water. Peal the boiled veggies, cut the beetroots into cubes and crush the turnips. Warm the oil and add cumin and mustard seeds, add tomatoes and cook on low heat. When oil is visible add crushed turnips and cook till they turn into smooth paste. Add beetroots to the turnip paste
and leave it on low heat to simmer.
Tasty dish is ready after five minutes.

Turnips and tomatoes BHURTA: Ingredients:
Turnips 5 small, tomatoes crushed 1 and 1/2 cup or 1 cup tomato paste, coriander leaves, salt 1tea-spoon, red chili powder ½ teaspoon, methie 1 table spoon, cumin 1and ½ tea-spoon, mustard seeds, turmeric powder1tea-spoon, oil 1 to 2 table-spoons.

Method: Boil turnips to 1& 1/2 cups of water. Peal the boiled turnips cut and crush the turnips. Warm the oil and add cumin and mustard seeds, add tomatoes and cook on low heat. When oil is visible add crushed turnips and cook till they turn into smooth paste. Add methie to the turnip paste and leave it on low heat to simmer.
SWEET POTATOES

Sweet potatoes are a good source of fiber, vitamins and minerals. They are particularly source of beta-carotene, which the body converts into vitamin A.

Sweet potatoes are either boiled or baked with their skins, they are delicious to eat in all forms.

Ingredients, milk ½ liter, six pieces or 1/2 cup of mashed sweet potatoes, sugar 3 tablespoon, almonds and pistachios.
Method: Boil or steam the sweet potatoes and remove their peels. Mash them and gradually add milk making a smooth paste. Add the remaining milk and and cook on the slow heat till the consistency becomes thick. Garnish the cool Sweet potatoes desert.
