The book “educated” is nonfiction memoir by Tara Westover. Her style of expression is simple and emotional. The book reflects the hardships and difficult life pattern she has lived.

Tara’s father was a strong believer of Mormon religion and dictated his life philosophy on all his family members. Tara had a strong desire to be educated and to socialize with the world around her. She was supported by her grandma and Charles her first friend from another domain.

Reviews about the Book "educated"

The book is very inspiring for me as Tara grew up in an environment where girls were expected to help their mothers, to get marry and settle down but she broke all the norms and climbed all the obstacles in quest of knowledge.

The book educated by Tara Westover is a wonderful motivating book. A story of young and enthusiastic girl who transformed her life through gaining new experiences and edification. She has expressed this in her own words "You could call this selfhood many things. Transformation. Metamorphosis. Falsity. Betrayal. I call it an education” pg. 329.
